AAM Radio- December 5 2013

Both Lauren Lee and Crystal Chandler recently donated a 12’x24’ mural to a local Phoenix area foster home, the Lighthouse.  The Lighthouse is a foster home to 11 small children and was the recent recipient of the quarterly neighborhood Grant that AAM awards.  Upon seeing the needs of the home, AAM reached out to local vendors to see what additional things could be donated to improve the backyard for these kids.   The project has been in the works for over six months but once approved, the mural took about a week to complete.  You can see Lauren’s works by Googling her or visiting her website.  You can also contact her directly

Ginger Clayton, who sits on the Board of Directors at Homeward Bound and is also the founder of the Diaper Bank of Central Arizona and the President of Elontec.  The Diaper Bank was founded this past September and was created after fourteen years of working with the Annual Diaper Drive and recognizing a larger need.  Diapers are provided to low-income families in need since food stamps and WIC programs do not cover diapers and other baby necessities.  The goal for the Diaper Bank is 1,000,000 diapers and to date are at 90,000.
