Northwest Ranch Hosts Fall BBQ and Celebrates Grand Opening of Their New Playground

Northwest Ranch, one of our communities in Surprise, AZ, hosted their fall community BBQ on Saturday, October 7th. With hundreds of residents in attendance, this event was packed full of family fun including bounce houses for the kids, a DJ playing music, tons of delicious BBQ and even a special visit from the Surprise Police Department, Fire Department and Councilman Roland Winters. A big thank you to the Fellowship Square of Surprise for sponsoring the event.

Additionally, this year’s BBQ not only served as a wonderful event for families to gather together and enjoy the cooler temperatures, but also to celebrate the grand opening of their newly renovated playground.

Built in the early 2000’s, the original play structure was in need of a few updates and wasn’t quite large enough to accommodate the growing needs of this community of over 840 homes. With assistance and approval from the Board of Directors, the community began construction and complete overhaul of the old playground.

Now, more than doubling in size, the new playground features a brand new:

  • Play structure with attached shading, monkey bars, slides and climbing structures
  • Spinner
  • Swing set
  • Teeter totter
  • Fossil dig

The residents of Northwest Ranch couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of the playground renovation, and have been seen utilizing the park nightly and every weekend since the re-opening. In addition to being the perfect space for families to congregate, play and enjoy the outdoors, the new playground has also become a beautiful focal point of the community. Thank you to everyone involved with the playground reconstruction.
