Session Starts and First Bill Passed

The 52nd Arizona Legislative Session kicked off Monday, January 12th. With 100 days
in regular session, AAM will track bills pertinent to our industry and keep you apprised,
posting updates on our website regularly. The first day of session, incoming Governor Ducey gave his "State of the State" address and said his focus
will be on education and the economy. Less than a week into session, legislators already passed a bill which
Governor Ducey signed Thursday, making Arizona the first state requiring students to pass a civics test
in order to graduate high school. This will affect the 2017 graduating class and requires
students to prove they have a working knowledge of American government and history.

How well do you know American government and history?
