The deadline for introducing new bills without special permission has passed, while the deadline for a bill to be heard in its original assigned committee is Friday, February 19th. Status: 2/11 Passed House, ready for Senate.
Condominiums; exterior changes; approval
Status: 2/8 Referred to House Commerce Committee.
Homeowners' associations; enforcement grace period
Status: 2/11 Approved by Committee of the Whole (COW) with floor amendment and 2/16 Bill passed third read and will transmit to the Senate 2/17.
Property; declaration amendment; procedure
Status: 2/8 Passed from House Judiciary Committee with amendment.
Rental properties; prohibited penalties
Status: 2/8 Passed by County and Municipal Affairs Committee; report awaited.
Secured residential communities; process servers
Status: 2/16 This bill, which we opposed, died in the Senate. The vote was 9 Ayes to 18 Nays.
Homeowners associations; director removal
Status: 2/2 Passed Rules Committee and referred to Government Senate Standing Committee.
Homeowners associations; Board conflicts
Status: 2/2 Passed Rules Committee and referred to Government Senate Standing Committee.

Status: 2/11 This bill will not be heard this session. AACM will work with Senator David Farnsworth next year on certification.
