May 24, 2016 Arizona HOA Legislation Update #15

On May 7, 2016, the Second Regular Session of Arizona's 52nd Legislature adjourned Sine Die andGovernor Doug Ducey had until May 19 to sign or veto the remaining bills on his desk.
 
During this regular session, lawmakers introduced 1,247 bills and 114 memorials & resolutions. To date, 388 bills have received final passage - 244 of which have been signed into law. There have been nine vetoes. Any measure that is signed or not acted upon will become law automatically on the General Effective Date, unless the bill contained an emergency clause or specified a later effective date. 
 
This year's General Effective Date is August 6, 2016. 
With the close of the legislative session, this will be the last Legislative Update of the year.
