Monyka Barnhart
Regional Director
Since joining AAM in 2016, Monyka Barnhart has drawn on nearly a decade of HOA management experience to strengthen community governance, support board leadership, and improve homeowner engagement. Known for her hands-on approach and strategic training, she equips
boards and managers with the tools to lead confidently and effectively.
Monyka previously served as AAM’s Training Manager for new Community Managers, where she designed programs to elevate service and consistency across communities. Now, as Regional Director of the Phoenix office and Director of Phoenix Office Operations, she oversees associations across Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the Cave Creek/Carefree area—providing high-level operational support with a strong service mindset.

Susan Platner
Area Manager
With over 25 years at AAM, Susan Platner is a highly experienced and respected member of the leadership team. Throughout her tenure, she has held several key roles and was instrumental in leading and organizing AAM’s Community Manager training program. Her deep knowledge of community management allows her to approach challenges with insight, precision, and a focus on solutions.
In her current role as Area Manager, Susan chose to return to a position that allows her to be more directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the communities and the managers who support them. She also plays a key role in supporting the Phoenix office’s Portfolio Community Managers. Known for her mentorship and steady leadership, Susan frequently assists by attending board and annual meetings and provides thoughtful directions on complex association matters.
Susan also proudly serves as AAM’s liaison to the Arizona Association of Community Managers (AACM), strengthening the connection between the company and the state’s leading professional organization for community management.
She holds the Certified Arizona Association Manager (CAAM) designation through AACM.

Lisa Paden
Area Manager
Lisa Paden brings a lifelong commitment to service and leadership to her role at AAM, backed by over three decades of management experience. Her career has spanned a wide range of industries, including retail, healthcare, and optical business operations, before transitioning into the Homeowners Association industry in 2019. Since joining AAM, she has applied her deep operational knowledge and customer-first approach to community management, earning the trust of Boards, residents, and team members alike.
Lisa’s professional background includes store and office management roles, business consulting, and practice leadership in ophthalmology and optometry. She owned and operated her own optical shop in Minnesota and also served as a consultant in AV installation and healthcare operations. Her ability to lead teams, manage complex operations, and provide consistent client service has made her a valuable asset in every role she has held.
Lisa holds the CAAM designation through AACM and has quickly established herself as a dependable leader within AAM. She is passionate about making a meaningful difference by guiding her communities with integrity and supporting her colleagues through mentorship and collaboration.

Sonia Boone
Area Manager
Sonia Boone brings a wealth of leadership and project management experience to her role as Area Manager at AAM, where she has served for the past four years. With over 30 years of supervisory experience and 10 years in project management, Sonia is known for her structured approach, clear communication, and dedication to serving communities with care and consistency.
Before joining AAM, Sonia held the position of Administrative Assistant III for Los Angeles County, where she oversaw complex projects and supported operational excellence across departments. Her public sector background provided a strong foundation in stakeholder collaboration, compliance, and service delivery, skills she now applies in the HOA industry.
Sonia values the personal connections that come with community management and enjoys working with residents and Boards to create welcoming, well-managed environments.

Christa Musgrave
Area Manager
Christa Musgrave brings over two decades of management experience to her role at AAM, where she has served for more than 10 years. With a background that spans country club and golf operations, commercial fitness, and community management, Christa’s diverse leadership experience has shaped her ability to deliver operational efficiency, strong client service, and team development across a wide range of association types.
Christa spent six years as a Community Manager and the last four as an Area Manager. Her portfolio has included everything from single-family homes and condominium associations to luxury villas, resort-based properties, lake communities, and golf course developments. Her expertise in managing large-scale, master-planned developments and working with both developer and commercial associations demonstrates her versatility and strategic oversight.
Christa holds her CAAM designation through AACM and certifications through APEX and ACE. She earned a degree in Recreation and Tourism Management from Arizona State University. Raised in Phoenix, she proudly considers herself a lifelong Phoenician. Outside of work, Christa enjoys hiking, attending sporting events, traveling, and spending time with her children and pets.
