CEO

Joel Kramer joined AAM in 2005 and serves as CEO, bringing extensive experience in traditional accounting and tax consulting, with a focus on business valuations and litigation support. With more than 30 years of professional experience, Joel has advised a diverse range of industries, including retail, wholesale distribution, real estate, manufacturing, legal, and medical. His strategic insight and financial expertise play a key role in guiding AAM’s long-term direction and continued growth.

President

As President of AAM, Amanda Shaw provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the company, with a focus on long-term growth, financial stewardship, and strengthening partnerships with clients and Boards of Directors. Amanda joined AAM as General Manager in 2002 and was named President in January 2004. Her strong financial background, extensive industry experience, and relationship-focused leadership have played an important role in shaping AAM’s continued growth and long-term business strategy. Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Mississippi in 1989 and is a CPA licensed in the State of Mississippi. Amanda is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Public Accountants, and the Urban Land Institute. She holds her CAAM certification through the Arizona Association of Community Managers and also serves on the organization’s Board of Directors.

Chief Operating Officer

Elaine Anghel brings more than 30 years of community association management and operational leadership experience to her role as Chief Operating Officer of AAM. A seasoned operational leader, she is focused on strengthening companywide performance, advancing service excellence, and ensuring AAM's teams and regional offices have the resources, training, and support needed to deliver exceptional service to clients. As COO, Elaine oversees companywide operations and leads the execution of key strategic initiatives, including leadership development, operational efficiency, process improvement, and readiness for evolving industry requirements and regulations. As AAM continues to expand its presence across multiple states, Elaine helps guide the operational strategies, infrastructure, and leadership development necessary to support sustainable growth and exceptional client service. She works closely with regional and corporate leaders to drive consistency, support growth, and enhance the client and employee experience across AAM's expanding footprint. Elaine holds the CAAM, CMCA, AMS, and PCAM designations, reflecting her longstanding commitment to professional development and excellence within the community management industry

Chief Financial Officer

Michelle Dennis, AAM’s Chief Financial Officer, has been a part of AAM for over 20 years. She started as a Staff Accountant in 2005, while simultaneously studying for and receiving her Master of Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She was promoted to Senior Staff Accountant in 2007, Department Manager in 2008 and became AAM’s Director of Corporate Accounting in 2011, a position she held until being named CFO in January 2016.

Chief Information Officer

Alexander is a technology executive with expertise in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, software development, and enterprise data strategy. He leads technology initiatives that enable business growth, operational excellence, and innovation. Over the course of his career, Alex has designed and delivered technology solutions for organizations ranging from global franchise networks to millions of online customers. His experience includes developing enterprise platforms for GoDaddy, architecting Cold Stone Creamery's first global analytics portal, and leading modernization initiatives that leverage AI, cloud technologies, data intelligence, and security best practices. Alexander holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Georgetown University and an MBA from Arizona State University. He is passionate about translating emerging technologies into practical business outcomes and helping organizations navigate the future of technology.

SVP of Human Resources

Lydia leads the HR team and is tasked with overseeing all aspects of Human Resources, including coaching, training, benefits, payroll and performance reviews. She first joined AAM as a Payroll and Benefits Manager in 2012, a position she held for two and a half years. She briefly left AAM after taking a position with GoDaddy™, a large technology company, but returned in March 2016 as our Director of Human Resources and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Human resources in August 2016, and recently promoted to SR VP of Human Resources. Lydia holds a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) designation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Christian University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is a tireless advocate for employees and strives to ensure AAM is a great place to work and offers competitive benefits so we can continue to attract the best and brightest employees.

SVP of Financial Management

Matt joined AAM in 2006 as a Staff Accountant. Over the years, Matt has taken on increased responsibilities and today holds the position of SVP of Financial Operations. Currently, Matt oversees a staff of over 50, including VP’s, Directors, Controllers, Accounting Department Managers, Staff Accountants, A/P, A/R & Billing Coordinators. Matt is responsible for AAM’s successful management of all financial and accounting related activities for all of our Association clients. His responsibilities include participating as a member of the AAM Executive Team, meeting with clients to assist in developing strategic financial plans for their communities, managing banking relationships, coordination of SOC audit including assisting in the implementation of internal controls, and ensuring AAM accounting processes follow industry best practices and proper accounting requirements. Matt brings more than 20 years of association accounting experience to his position. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from The University of Utah. His knowledge and expertise assure the highest standard in evaluating accounting procedures and provides a level of expertise unmatched in the industry.

SVP of HOA Accounting and Analytics

Liz Jorgensen joined AAM as the VP of HOA Accounting in April 2024. In her role, she oversees the successful execution of monthly financial production, annual audits, and tax filings for all AAM’s Association clients. Leading an exceptional team of 40 professionals, including staff accountants, controllers, and the VP of Financial Management, Liz fosters a collaborative and results-driven environment. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Liz has a proven track record of enhancing organizational performance across finance, accounting, human resources, and technology teams. Her expertise encompasses treasury management, compliance, reporting, team development, process optimization, and strategic analysis, all aimed at creating a forward-thinking and innovative workplace. Liz earned her Accounting degree from the University of Utah and holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Budget and Finance from Pennsylvania State University.

VP of Operations

With over 18 years at AAM, Michael Meza brings a wealth of experience across accounting, operations, project management, training, and acquisitions. He began his career as an accountant and quickly found a passion for customer interaction and the diverse challenges of community management. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Accountancy. His well-rounded background prior to joining AAM includes roles in human resources, banking, and telecommunications, which helped shape his people-focused and detail-driven approach.
